General Public

The general public, including national researchers, will be reached through our dissemination and awareness-raising campaigns. Educating and engaging this group is vital to fostering allies who can promote health rights and advance LGBTIQ+ equality.

Professionals from NGOs and CSOs

Professionals from Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and community-based groups working on LGBTIQ+ rights and health advocacy will be informed about the project.

These professionals — social workers, trainers, gender experts, and psychologists—bring valuable expertise and recommendations for policy formulation and implementation.

They can utilize the project’s results to advocate for improved health services tailored to the needs of LGBTIQ+ individuals.

Local Authorities and Policymakers

Local authorities, such as municipal health clinics and departments, are critical in implementing LGBTIQ-inclusive health policies at the community level.

They will be informed about project activities and encouraged to leverage its results to enhance the health services they provide to LGBTIQ+ individuals.

LGBTIQ+ Individuals and Groups

LGBTIQ+ individuals and advocacy groups are central to the project, given their vital role in shaping the project’s methodology and outcomes.

Their lived experiences and insights will inform the project’s approach, ensuring relevance and inclusivity in addressing their health needs.

Medical/Nursing students

Medical and nursing students are primary target groups as they represent the future generation of healthcare practitioners. Engaging them in this project ensures long-term impact.

This group will primarily be reached through the University of Nicosia’s health-related courses and the Cyprus Medical Students’ Association and will participate in both the research and development phases of the project.

Health Professionals

Health professionals in primary care are a key target group for our project.

This includes General Practitioners (GPs), Gynecologists, Urologists, Endocrinologists, Nurses, and other frontline medical practitioners. This group will be engaged through the extensive network of the University of Nicosia and its medical center, as well as relevant stakeholders in Cyprus, such as the Ministry of Health, the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY), the Cyprus Medical Association, and the Cyprus Nurses and Midwives Association (CyNMA) and they will act as multipliers and supporters of the project.
Public and private hospitals and clinics, alongside the Ministry of Health, will also play a significant role.

As primary stakeholders, they are ideally positioned to integrate the project’s results into their policies and practices, fostering systemic change to safeguard the health and well-being of LGBTIQ+ populations.
